The DonJoy Strapilax knee brace is particularly recommended for the prevention of knee hyperlaxity, offering adjustable, reinforced support thanks to its removable strap, which allows the level of support to be tailored to individual needs and activities. It provides an effective solution for stabilising knees with excessive ligament laxity without restricting joint movement.

This knee brace is specifically indicated to provide support and compression following a minor injury to the lateral ligaments of the knee, whether the medial collateral ligament (MCL) or the lateral collateral ligament (LCL). The removable support strap can be strategically positioned to specifically target the affected ligament, thereby providing personalised support and optimal protection during the recovery phase.

The DonJoy Strapilax knee brace improves proprioception and helps prevent injuries during sporting activities thanks to its graduated compression and stabilisation system, which stimulate the joint’s sensory receptors. High-quality 3D anatomical knit

This knee brace stands out for its high-quality, flexible 3D anatomical knit, which moulds perfectly to the contours of the knee thanks to its multi-directional elasticity. The elastic fabric adapts to movements in all directions whilst maintaining effective graduated compression with strategically positioned decompression zones. The soft texture of the breathable fabric feels pleasant against the skin and effectively wicks away moisture for optimal comfort, even during prolonged exertion.

Intuitive, removable support strap

The distinctive feature of this knee brace is its removable 140 x 5 cm support strap, fitted with hook-and-loop fasteners, which allows selective reinforcement of the medial or lateral collateral ligament as required. This strap can be positioned intuitively to specifically target the injured or unstable area, thus offering personalised support that can be adjusted according to the progression of the condition and the activities undertaken. The hook-and-loop fastening system protects the knitted section whilst ensuring a secure fit that can be repositioned as required. As the strap is removable, it can be taken off when additional support is no longer required, thereby transforming the knee brace into a simple support model for light-duty use.

Patellar stabiliser and flexible splints

The patellar recess, combined with the SBR foam stabiliser, keeps the patella in the correct position, thereby reducing abnormal stress and improving the overall biomechanics of the knee. The bilateral flexible splints complement this stabilisation system by providing additional lateral support without restricting joint movement, thereby preserving the full range of motion essential for daily activities and sport.

Optimised comfort zones

The comfort zones with loose-knit mesh in the popliteal fossa prevent fabric bunching and uncomfortable creases during full knee flexion. This attention to sensitive areas significantly improves wearing comfort, particularly during prolonged activities or repeated sitting. The non-slip silicone band ensures a secure fit without slipping, guaranteeing that all stabilising elements remain perfectly positioned to maintain their therapeutic effect.

Care and Versatility

The knee brace is machine-washable at 40°C on a delicate cycle, making it easy to maintain regularly. It is latex-free, making it suitable for people with sensitivities. The bilateral design fits either the right or left knee. Available in 7 sizes (from T1 to T7), it adapts to all body types to ensure an optimal fit and maximum effectiveness of the ligament stabilisation system.
