Arthromotors, or motorised splints, enable joint movement within preset ranges of motion at a slow speed through continuous passive mobilisation.
The machine is adjusted for range of motion and speed according to the condition and the patient’s recovery. They promote a faster increase in range of motion, less painful mobilisation, improved tissue perfusion and joint ‘running-in’.
These splints are recommended on medical advice, immediately after surgery to maintain maximum range of motion, prevent haematoma, and provide ‘continuous joint mobilisation’, in cases of post-operative joint stiffness following immobilisation, etc.

They can be used at home, as mobility ensures continuity of care.
